Graduates are taken through a 24-month structured development program that provides an introduction to the working world of Nestlé, as well as a strong foundation for further development. Technical and Production forms an integral part of any company. At Nestlé, we are continuously searching for the best Technical Graduates to join our team and help us in achieving and maintaining our vision of being the "World's leading Nutrition, Health and Wellness company". Graduates are invited to submit applications for the Graduate Program, and upon successful completion of the program, will be placed in full-time employment in one of the many exciting Technical and Production divisions, such as Project Engineer, Team Leader, Food Safety Specialist, Quality Systems Specialist, Compliance Specialist, Sensory & Consumer Complaints Specialist, Safety Health & Environmental Specialist, Quality Pillar Specialist, Industrial Performance etc. The specific roles are not predetermined but would depend on individual aptitude and business needs.
Key Requirements:
- An accredited BEng, BSc, BTech Degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Food Science / Food Technology, Microbiology & Biochemistry / Biotechnology, Agriculture.
- Must be computer literate (MS Office)
- Over 65% academic average
- Excellent communication skills and analytical ability
- South African Citizen or permanent residency in South Africa.

Internship:
There are basically two types of internships:
Learnerships:
A learnership is an occupational qualification and it consists of theory and work-based experience and practical skills, with formal assessment and a qualification. At the end of the learnership the candidate may be offered permanent employment.
In-service training:
In-service training is to gain practical work experience during studies. It usually takes place after a few years of theory has been successfully completed. It is essential work experience that is part of the qualification and the in-service training is necessary to achieve the qualification. It could be paid or unpaid.
Internship:

- The Undergraduate Internship: Usually with bigger organisations that pick undergraduates to attend the internship. It often takes places during the holidays and the average durations is a few weeks. In most cases the intern will receive some sort of stipend or salary and this type of internship may lead to a job offer to the intern once he / she is finished with their studies.
- The Graduate Internship: This type of internship could be paid or unpaid and it is to gain practical work experience after the qualification has been completed and in a job related to the qualification. It could be from a few weeks or even one or two years long. This type of internship could also lead to permanent employment.
